On February 27, 2012, during the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Nik Software announced the release of Snapseed Desktop for Windows. It was named by Apple as “iPad App of the Year.” By August, an app for the iPhone was introduced. It was developed by German company Nik Software and was launched in June of 2011 as an iPad app.
